Here’s a website that crawls under a rock to uncover more ways to grab a hotel deal.

What it does: It’s a hotel deal website that doesn’t just stop at finding low rates. It also includes membership rates, senior rates, rates after coupon savings and special rates available on your cellphone. You can also compare its prices with those on other popular travel deal websites. Subscription email alerts for personalized hotel deals or price drops are also available.

What’s hot: I was charmed by the “freebies” filter on the left nav bar. Instead of clicking on the amenities that I wanted (as I usually do on other sites), this one showed me how many of the hotels in my search result had free breakfast, Internet, parking and child care. The search defaults to results with the best savings, but if you want to dig deeper you can sort by value, price or rating. Also make sure to use the three-star filter (not just four- and five-star properties) if you want to include big-value hotels that you might not otherwise consider. I was able to find decent properties off the Las Vegas strip with free breakfast and Internet for less than $100 on a Saturday night.

What’s not: The filter bar with “Savings Types” is a little confusing — left is off and right is on. Familiarize yourself with the savings options by looking at them one at a time.
