Denver is painting the town in October, offering an arts week followed by the opening of its new Museum of Contemporary Art. The arts week, Oct. 5 to 12, is the Colorado capital’s first such citywide festival. It will extend over six arts districts and 100 galleries and include outdoor films, street art and parties. On Oct. 28, architect David Adjaye’s much-anticipated Museum of Contemporary Art opens. The building is touted as both bold and environmentally efficient. (303) 298-7554, www.mcartdenver.org.
