Bristol Shakespeare Festival: The annual event, billed as one ofthe largest open-air festivals in Britain, features “TwelfthNight,” “Much Ado About Nothing,” “The Merchant of Venice” andmore.

When, where: Now through Aug. 16 at parks inBristol, including Queen Square (a tree-lined Georgian square nearthe waterfront), Ashton Court (on the grounds of an Elizabethanmansion), Bristol Zoo Gardens and Brandon Hill.

Tickets: $10 to $30.
