Las Vegas: Father’s Day ideas, from a bull to a barrel roll
- Share via
Las Vegas will roll out the red carpet for dads on June 16, offering a variety of testosterone-infused challenges for Father’s Day, from trying to stay atop a mechanical bull to taking flight for some barrel rolls.
The PBR Rock Bar & Grill inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood will offer a special “BBQ, beer and bull rides” event. Dads who down a half-rack of pork ribs will receive a free 22-ounce draft (PBR, of course) and a complimentary ride on the mechanical bull for however long that may last.
Fathers seeking even bigger thrills can head to the airport in suburban Henderson for a specially priced aerial joyride. For $299, Sky Combat Ace will provide an exhilarating, 25-minute acrobatic thrill ride in an Extra 300LC aircraft. Experienced flight instructors will take guests through a hair-raising series of loops, stalls and tumbles with the Strip and nearby mountains forming the backdrop.
The deal is also available in the form of a gift certificate good through December.
After all that excitement, Dad may need a stress-relieving stop at the Bellagio Spa & Salon. For $100, dads can indulge in the “Gentleman’s Manicure and Pedicure,” a 40-minute treatment that includes a leg and foot massage.
Fathers content with a smoke and a drink can indulge in those pastimes – and some people-watching too – on the patio at Rhumbar at the Mirage. Twenty bucks buys any signature cocktail and a house cigar.
