Reporting from Las Vegas — Canadian rockers Barenaked Ladies booked a date with Las Vegas for a night of their playful lyrics.
They bring their Last Summer on Earth 2015 tour to the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday, July 18.
Comedy and eclectic folk pop rock sounds have been the keys to the band’s success. Songs such as “Be My Yoko Ono,” “Brian Wilson” and “If I Had a $1,000,000” from their 1992 debut album helped them sell more than 14 million albums during their career. The light-hearted band also sings the theme song for “The Big Bang Theory.”
In 2013, Barenaked Ladies released its 11th studio album, Grinning Streak, featuring the hit single, “Boomerang.”
Indie rockers Violent Femmes and Colin Hay of Men at Work support.
Tickets starting at $50 go on sale Friday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m.
Tickets: Cosmopolitan, (800) 745-3000
