A new poll shows Democrat Jerry Brown widening his lead over Republican Meg Whitman just five days before election day.
The Field Poll shows Brown with a 49% to 39% lead over Whitman, his Republican challenger.
In the last Field Poll, Brown and Whitman were tied, with 41%. Brown was running strong with Latinos, women and independent voters.
A Los Angeles Times/University of Southern California Poll released Sunday had similar findings. You can read the Field Poll results here.
