Warming up my fingers here at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, counting down for No. 3 Corona Centennial vs. No. 4 Crespi.
I pulled up just after Centennial arrived in its chartered bus. Coach Matt Logan said the Huskies left Corona at 1 p.m., stopped to eat (that must have been a huge bill) and then had their walk-through down the road at Birmingham High.
Logan also made a solo trip here on Wednesday to check out the facility. I tell ya, this guy means business. He said the Huskies will be without their best offensive linemen, left tackle Kyle Delbridge, who has a knee injury. Delbridge also missed last season because of an injury and the season opener vs. Dominguez two weeks ago.
This could be a tough game... The young man dressed as the Crespi mascot is already getting harassed -- by his own crowd.
