Wide receiver Frank Randall caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Alex Bridgford and Mission Viejo has pulled even with host Mater Dei, 14-14, with 1:08 remaining in the first half of tonight’s Pac-5 Division semifinal at Santa Ana Stadium.

The Diablos drove 69 yards in 12 plays, aided by a pass interference penalty that nullified a juggling interception by Mater Dei defensive back Glen Raphael.

Dual-threat quarterback Tre Madden has been held in check by Mater Dei so far, completing one pass for six yards and rushing four times for 19 yards.
