Baseball: Sophomore Garett King is impressive for Orange Lutheran

Garett King, a 6-foot-3 sophomore right-hander, allowed two hits in Orange Lutheran’s 6-0 victory over Los Altos on Friday.
Conner Sullivan had a two-run single for the Lancers (2-1).
St. John Bosco improved to 5-0 with a 4-2 win over St. Bernard. Omar Maldonado picked up his first varsity win. El Dorado defeated Loara, 8-3.
Long Beach Poly defeated Banning, 3-2, in the El Segundo tournament. Chris Castellanos allowed four hits in 6 1/3 innings. Frankie Rios had a three-run double in the fifth. Erik Magdaleno pitched well for the Pilots.
Narbonne defeated Peninsula, 4-1. Jeysen Delgado hit two home runs and Chacho Corniel threw a complete game.
Simi Valley Grace Brethren advanced to the championship game of the Southern California Invitational Blue Division with an 8-3 win over North Hollywood. Blake Barry had two doubles. San Fernando defeated Golden Valley, 8-4, with Freddy Flores getting two hits and two RBIs.
Nathaniel Pyle threw a complete game with six strikeouts and Justin Castaneda had a two-run double to lead Granada Hills (3-1) past Paraclete, 4-1. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame defeated Knight, 10-0, in five innings. Taft defeated Westchester, 13-6. Ian Parent hit a two-run home run and Mike Colon had a three-run double.
Sierra Canyon defeated La Canada, 6-0. Sean Adler threw six scoreless inning and had two hits and two RBIs. Jake Fried, a freshman, had two hits.
