Bay Tennis Club Donated to City

TORRANCE — Developer Karl D. Fechner has donated the former Bay Cities Tennis Club building at 4025 Spencer St. and all equipment to the city.
The city has determined that it would be too expensive to move the two-story, 3,060-square-foot building onto city property, but the equipment, valued at about $100,000, can be used. The equipment includes chain-link fencing, windscreening, court lighting fixtures and tennis nets.
Fechner plans to build an industrial office complex on the site.
