Guilty pleas were entered in Los Angeles federal court by four defendants accused of conspiring to defraud Bank of America and Union Bank of more than $10 million by cashing counterfeit corporate checks. U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson set sentencing of Naomi Jerez, 42; her father, Clyde C. Lewis, 74; Juan Manuel Ralon Solorzano, 26, and Gerardo Carvajal, 40, for July 7.
