Teachers returned to work at Amador Valley and Pleasanton public schools after a tentative contract agreement was reached over the weekend. The teachers had been involved in on-and-off strikes over the last two months at 11 elementary and high schools that serve about 8,200 Northern California students. Both sides agreed not to reveal details of the settlement until after a ratification vote.
