Quarterback David Swearingen scored 2 touchdowns in the final quarter to lead El Dorado High School to a 24-9 victory over Cypress Friday night in Placentia’s Bradford Stadium.
El Dorado (4-4, 2-1) held a 10-9 lead going into the last quarter when the Golden Hawks recovered a fumble at their 27-yard line.
Tailback Lance Keeter set up Swearingen’s first touchdown with a 70-yard run and defensive back Shawn Facione set up Swearingen’s second score with an interception. Cypress fell to 1-6-1, 0-2-1.
