James G. Valeo, previously managing director in the financial institutions group at Drexel Burnham Lambert, will serve as chairman of the recently formed Valeo, Cobb & Co., a merchant banking and financial advisory firm with offices in Los Angeles and Atlanta. David Cobb, previously manager of Drexel’s financial institutions office in Atlanta, has joined the firm as a principal.
