To the parent of the girl who became a Deadhead (Letters, June 8): If your daughter was so responsible before, listening to the Grateful Dead wouldn’t have changed her into a dropout.
Instead of blaming the music, as parents have been doing for decades, you should find out the real reason she’s become a dropout, like problems in school or peer pressure. Don’t blame the music, parents; help your children get through the most difficult years of their lives.
