CAMARILLO : Music Program Is Subject of Meeting

The Pleasant Valley School District will sponsor a meeting Monday night for parents, businessmen and Camarillo residents interested in saving the district’s instrumental music program.
To help reduce its deficit the district’s board of trustees eliminated the program in next year’s preliminary spending plan, which was approved Thursday night.
Supt. Shirley Carpenter is planning the meeting to organize a new fine arts committee of those who fought to save the instrumental music program, district spokeswoman Gloria Nowlin said.
The Monday meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in Room 7 of El Rancho Structured School, 550 Temple Ave., Camarillo.
