Shooting at Park
On June 15 at Rancho Park in West Los Angeles during my son’s baseball game, shooting broke out. The level of fear and the desperation in finding my 7-year-old son to just get out of there alive was so intense. The level of violence that grows like a terrible virus in our city has gone far enough.
Why are we so complacent and willing to accept this way of life? We are telling our children this is the way it is. It is wrong to leave them a legacy of hopelessness. It is each and every one of our responsibilities as parents and human beings to try to fix this mess before it is too late.
