Washington 24, Gardena 7--Running back Joseph Brown rushed for 90 yards in 14 carries and receiver Anthony Warren caught two touchdown passes as Washington defeated Gardena in a Southern Pacific Conference game.
Warren caught three passes for 53 yards. Washington, led by linebackers Damon Smith and James Moore, gave up only seven yards in total offense in the second half.
Gardena’s only score came on the last play of the first half when quarterback Reno Medina hooked up with receiver Sheldon Murren for a 75-yard touchdown.
