SIMI VALLEY : Animal Regulation Pact Up for Renewal

The Simi Valley City Council on Monday will decide whether to grant Ventura County a new contract to deal with loose dogs and other animals roaming the streets of the city.
The county’s Animal Regulation Department has for six years contracted with Simi Valley to feed and care for impounded animals and try to reunite them with their owners.
Under the new agreement, Simi Valley would pay $265,000 for the services and for a full-time officer to patrol its streets.
