TEMPE, Ariz. — Washington State canceled its women’s basketball game against Arizona State on Saturday night because of illness to six players and Coach Harold Rhodes.
The Pacific 10 Conference will decide this week if the Sun Devils (2-14, 0-8) will be given a victory by forfeit.
The Cougars (7-10, 2-6) lost, 82-71, to Arizona at Tucson on Thursday night and contemplated returning to Pullman, Wash., because the six players still had a viral infection. The team traveled to Tempe and hoped rest Friday would help the players and Rhodes recover.
