The public is invited to celebrate Law Day today in the lobby of the Hall of Justice at the Ventura County Government Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Staff members from the Board of Supervisors, Corrections Services Agency, district attorney’s office, public defender’s office, Sheriff’s Department and the Municipal and Superior courts will be available to answer questions and provide literature about the services they provide.
This year’s theme is “The U.S. Constitution--the Original American Dream.” Participants are encouraged to reflect on America’s constitutional heritage and the importance of an informed citizenry.
Law Day was established in 1958 by President Eisenhower to heighten public awareness of the nation’s laws and justice system.
