Rabies Shots for Dogs, Cats to Be Available at Center

A rabies vaccination clinic for cats and dogs will be held Tuesday at the Mar Vista Recreation Center.
Sponsored by the Southern California Veterinary Medical Assn. and the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services, the clinic offers rabies vaccinations for $4 per pet.
Dogs older than 4 months are required by law to be vaccinated against rabies.
Other shots, including a six-in-one vaccination recommended annually for dogs, will be available at costs ranging from $9 to $12. A general vaccination for cats is available for $12 and is recommended annually.
The clinic will be held Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Mar Vista Recreation Center parking lot at Palms Boulevard and McLaughlin Avenue.
Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in pet carriers.
