Loyola Marymount Wins Easily, 83-63

Elton Mashack scored 21 points to lead Loyola Marymount to an easy 83-63 victory Wednesday over Southern California College at Gersten Pavilion.
Steve James led the Vanguards, who are coached by former UCLA point guard Cameron Dollar, with 19 points.
Loyola (1-2) took control by scoring 10 consecutive points to break a 4-4 tie. The Lions led, 44-24, at halftime.
Southern California College (2-3) got as close as 66-56 before the Lions scored 17 of the game’s final 24 points.
The Lions made 12 of 21 shots from three-point range. In all, they finished with 28 field goals in 49 attempts (57.1%). The Vanguards made only 26 of 61 shots (42.6%).
