Long Beach Wilson High’s boys’ water polo team capped a perfect season Wednesday night with an 11-7 victory over Harvard-Westlake in the Southern Section Division I championship game at Belmont Plaza pool in Long Beach.
The score was as close as it’s been all season for Wilson (29-0), which won its third consecutive title.
Jeff Nesmith scored five goals and All-American Tony Azevedo scored four for the Bruins, who used two crucial runs to keep Harvard-Westlake (23-5) at bay.
