TriZetto Buys Texas Firm to Expand

Newport Beach-based TriZetto Group Inc. said it has acquired a Texas company to expand its managed care consulting and technical services.
Terms of the cash and stock deal for Creative Business Solutions Inc. and its subsidiary, HealthWeb Systems Ltd., were not disclosed. TriZetto specializes in information technology services for the medical services industry. The acquisition gives the firm Web-based software systems for health care organizations.
All told, privately held TriZetto will have more than 150 employees, about 25 of them in California. No layoffs are planned as a result of the acquisition, the company said.
