The City Council on Tuesday approved conceptual designs for the $300,000 Doheny Park Road street-scape project. Queen palm trees have been chosen to line the street from Las Vegas Avenue to the north city limits. Road improvements for Las Vegas and Domingo avenues and Victoria Boulevard will cost an additional $974,600. The council is expected to award construction contracts as early as May.
