Oak Park 16, Bishop Diego 9--Eric Testan rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown in 14 carries to lead the Eagles (5-3, 1-1) at Oak Park.
Testan scored on a 38-yard run on the final play of the first quarter to give Oak Park a 9-6 lead.
Chris Adams caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Nate Elder with 1:26 left in the second quarter to extend the Eagles’ lead to 16-6. Elder completed eight of 21 passes for 85 yards.
Sophomore Monte McNair opened the scoring with a 38-yard field goal midway through the first quarter.
Bishop Diego’s Anthony Sanchez led all rushers with 108 yards in 21 carries.
NONLEAGUE
Irvine 29, Newbury Park 25--Cameron Merrill completed 18 of 34 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns and one interception, but the Panthers (4-4) lost at Irvine.
Keith Short rushed 24 times for 193 yards and Mike Ricci was 12 of 18 passing for 186 yards and three touchdowns for Irvine.
Nordhoff 22, Carpinteria 16--Jessie Hawkins scored on a six-yard run with 5:33 to play to lift the Rangers (6-2) at Nordhoff.
Hawkins, whose fourth-down sack with 49 seconds left clinched the victory, finished with 148 yards rushing in 23 carries. He had a 12-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Carpinteria (6-2) took a 16-15 lead with 9:33 to play on a 12-yard scoring pass from Paul Hernandez to Luis Guzman. Hernandez completed 12 of 19 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns.
Nordhoff took a 15-3 lead in the second quarter when defensive back Ryan Hayes tackled Hernandez in the end zone for a safety.
