Loara has defeated El Dorado only twice this decade, and the 1994 victory came by forfeit. If not for a bad break here and there, El Dorado could easily be tied with Loara and many still believe the Golden Hawks are all that stand between Loara and an undefeated league season. The status of El Dorado running back Nick Zehner, who hurt his back last week, is still uncertain. Loara will rely on its defense, spearheaded by linebackers Joey Ellis and Minh Nguyen. Running back Billy Chavez also will be a force. A Loara victory clinches a playoff berth. An El Dorado loss probably eliminates the Golden Hawks.
