Shane’s Inspiration

I recently took my 12-year-old to the Shane’s Inspiration playground at Griffith Park. Why would a preteen want to go to the park when she is into rock concerts, the mall and talking on the phone?
This “boundless” playground is new and has made site accommodations for all children with disabilities to play with nondisabled peers. This was the first time she could experience a swing on her own and wheel to it, due to the lack of sand. For years playgrounds were only a place we could look at. Thank you to the city for recognizing the need for all children to play. Keep them coming!
