Israeli Troops Kill 3 Palestinians in West Bank

Israeli troops fatally shot three Palestinians in the West Bank, bringing the Palestinian death toll to 18 since the two sides pledged last week to formalize a cease-fire.
No Israelis have been killed since Wednesday’s cease-fire promises, but Israel said its troops have faced dozens of attacks. Israel warned that Palestinians had two days to enforce their side of the truce, or it was doomed to fail. The Palestinians, meanwhile, said the mounting death toll was the result of excessive force by Israeli troops.
Amid the friction, Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres met with senior Palestinian officials Ahmed Korei and Saeb Erekat for talks on the cease-fire.
