From Times Wire Reports
Michael Skakel went on trial in Norwalk in the bludgeoning death of his teenage neighbor 27 years ago.
Superior Court Judge John Kavanewsky Jr. introduced prospective jurors to Skakel. Later, as he left the courthouse and was asked how the day went, Skakel replied: “It was good.” Two jurors were chosen, but lawyers said the process could take over a month. The rest of the trial may take up to two months.
Skakel, 41, is accused of beating Martha Moxley with a golf club in 1975. He is the nephew of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy.
