A man and a boy were killed and two other people were injured Tuesday evening in a two-car collision in Anaheim, police said.
Authorities were still investigating the 7:45 p.m. accident on Ball Road just east of Western Avenue, but Sgt. Rick Martinez, a spokesman for the Anaheim Police Department, said it involved a Toyota Camry and a Chevrolet Camaro.
“It appears that the Camaro was going westbound, possibly at a high rate of speed, and the Camry was going eastbound,” Martinez said. “Possibly, a car pulled out of a driveway and the Camaro appears to have swerved to avoid it, colliding with the Camry.”
The man driving the Camaro and a passenger -- believed to be about 10 -- were declared dead at the scene, Martinez said. A second child in the back seat was taken to a hospital in unknown condition and the woman driving the Camry was also taken to a hospital, for injuries not considered life-threatening.
No names were released.
