Police Shooting

Re “Panel Finds ’04 Shooting Broke Rules,” Feb. 11: I’d like to thank Los Angeles Police Department officials for ruling the shooting of Nicholas Hans Killinger in February 2004 “out of policy.”
I feel much safer driving the streets of Los Angeles knowing that an individual using a butcher knife to commit a felony, driving erratically, on the wrong side of the road, at high speeds for 90 minutes, endangering every citizen and officer on the road, will be allowed to continue on his way because he didn’t pose a “deadly threat.”
I feel much better now. Good job!
