7 students killed as train hits bus

A train slammed into a bus carrying schoolchildren at a railroad crossing near the town of Allinges in the French Alps, killing seven children and injuring 24 people, officials said.
The bus was carrying 50 middle-school students and six adults on a field trip, according to gendarmes.
