Loyola Marymount stuns No. 13 Gonzaga

Ashley Hamilton scored 17 points and Drew Viney had 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to lead Loyola Marymount to a 74-66 upset of No. 13 Gonzaga on Thursday. The victory was the first for the Lions (14-13, 5-6 West Coast Conference) over a ranked team since the 1990 NCAA tournament, when they defeated Alabama in the West Regional semifinals. Gonzaga (21-5, 9-2) had won 13 of 14.
Portland 83, at Pepperdine 62: Jared Stohl and T.J. Campbell each scored 18 points for the Pilots (17-8, 8-3 WCC). Keion Bell scored 23 points for the Waves (7-20, 3-8), who lost their eighth in a row.
WOMEN
at UCLA 73, Washington 55: The Bruins (17-7, 10-3 Pac-10) broke out of a one-point halftime deficit with a 26-5 run. Markel Walker led all players with 19 points, making six of seven shots against the Huskies (9-15, 4-10),
Washington State 64, at USC 52: The Trojans (13-11, 7-6 Pac-10) hadn’t lost to the Cougars since 2001, but they shot only 27.5% from the field and lost their third in a row overall. Washington State improved to 7-18, 2-12.
