Rain showers are expected to taper off Saturday morning after an overnight storm in the Los Angeles region, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm was projected to bring about half an inch of rain to the coast and valley regions and up to 8 inches of snow to the mountains. There is also a high surf advisory all day Saturday and a winter weather advisory through Saturday morning, meteorologist Jamie Meier said Friday.
The area will remain dry until Sunday night, when more showers are expected, Meier said.
The second storm will clear out by Monday morning, Meier said.
